where the world is good,

and life is fair.

for people who are black and free,

for people who believe in beliefs

that once, people were not allowed to believe in.

People who fought in wars,

Marched proudly,

Believed,

Kept their voices loud,

And continued to stand

Tall,

Strong,

And proud,

Like a tree,

Made today,

A good place to live in,

A good place to be,

A good place to belong in.
