it to contain elders. They see the world

orbiting slow.

 

They show the children

their words full of wisdom,

and let them (they can’t bear it) peer

into the ancient world that they are still stuck in.

 

In their superannuated vision,

their peculiar face is serious;

they are pleased with their knowledge, unknown

and when they speak they groan.
